Davis' career began at the age of three when she was featured in commercials on television. Her first role was as one of the series' regulars when she was just a child on the cult television show, Charles In Charge. It was the top-rated show on syndication. Josie was nominated three times and won the prestigious Teenage in Film Award for her performance as Sarah Powell. Davis was an adult who has appeared in several TV shows and has won Lifetime Movie Network two awards for his work. Though she could have the choice of entering USC's prestigious writing program, Davis took the decision to stay in acting and studied with Paul E Richards. Paul E Richards for twenty years. Davis was twenty-four when she took an audition to become one of the Hollywood elite group, Shelley Winters Mark Rydell Martin Landau. Davis did not have a lot of experience, having only done one audition in the famed Actors Studio with privileges of being employed there, was given a lifetime membership after an interview. Davis was one of just two people accepted for those auditions in the year that she was accepted among over 1,000 auditionees.
